ST. JOHN

We took the ferry across the bay about a mile to get to St. Johns.  We were told it had some nice snorkeling places.

This was our first place to get to snorkel, we were excited.

When we were done snorkeling, I went to get dressed and noticed by small zip lock baggie that had my drivers license, American express card, ship card and 30.00 was gone.  I then went on the search for it while Bill went through our gear more than once.  I backed tracked my steps and looked on the ground everywhere with no luck.  I went to a rangers desk and made a call to Am. express to cancel my card.  I was on hold for several minutes when Bill returned to me and said one of the people on the taxi saw the taxi driver pick up my bag and asked the other passengers if they had seen me.  He apparently went looking for me down the beach.  We were told that the Taxi driver gave it to a tour guide on the ship (well there were several ships docked at St Thomas that day.  So we headed back hoping to get lucky and retrieve my lost cards.  We got back to the taxi station and several taxi drivers made calls for us to the driver after we had given a description of the taxi van we were in.  Apparently this taxi driver sent it with a tour guide from another ship who placed it in that ships security.  In the meantime, Bill and I went to the security station by the ship after we had gotten back to St. Thomas.  They said that it had been turned into the wrong ship but that someone sent it over to our ships security.  By now Bill and I were feeling like this was a goose chase.  We had our doubts of every getting them back and felt a little like no one really knew what was going on.  (By a big fat chance and a semi-honest taxi driver) We got back to our ship and was boarding, we told one of the security officers on our ship what had happened and he reached over and asked me to identify my self and asked me what I was missing, then he handed me the small baggie with my cards in them except the 30.00 that was gone.  I felt very thankful and knew my prayer in finding my cards had been answered. We did not mind that the small amt of money was gone.  We were amazed at the miracle that several people were honest in returning them to the right ship.-WHAT A DAY!!!!

While we were talking to the taxi drivers about my lost cards, I took this picture of the pelican sitting on the edge of a boat near by.

We swam in this water while we were waiting for the ferry to take us from St. johns back to St. Thomas.

The ride back to St Thomas and keeping my fingers crossed and with lots of prayers to find my cards and money.

This is a yacht we were docked by.  We were told this guy owns some software company.-but I can not remember the details.

Leaving St. Thomas.

We did not do any snorkeling on St. thomas.

A little romance at the end of the day.  Plus were happy that we did not have to cancel out my American Express card and get a new Utah drivers license.  Bill said without my ship card, he would have found a way to get me back on the ship, and if he didn't then he would have missed THIS KISS.

Last set of pictures as we sail away from St. Thomas.  We then went and showered and got ready for a fun night of dinning and show watching.
