Grandpa Cook past away early Saturday at 2:57. It was a sweet passing and all of his kids were at his side.  The viewing was at Bunkers Mortuary Thursday from 6-8 p.m.  The funeral was Friday March 23,2012 at 11:00 a.m.

These medallions were in grandpa's casket, loving husband, loving father, and companion with God.

These guards honored Grandma Cook with the flag since Grandpa was in WW11. they played taps at the cemetary.

March 16, 2012- Friday. Visiting our little Angels grave site-Mesa Cemetary. Ian would be 31 years old.

Dad by Ian's grave.

Here I am setting up flowers and an Easter balloon for our Ian.  We love and miss you Sweetheart.

Wednesday late afternoon I went to stay with my mom for a few nights.

Mom and I just loved to visit and be together.  On Thursday we went to lunch at Moreno's and I took her to get a pedicure.  We had fun relaxing.
Mom is enjoying the nice chair massage and getting her feet pampered.  She deserves this lap of luxury.
Landon, Bill and Mom Taylor and me met up with Taylor's family at TOP SHELF
and had lunch.  (I know Mexican food 3 days in a row).  We all visited and got re acquainted .  John Palmer (Taylor's Dad) is one of Craig s best friends.  So it is nice that Taylor and Landon are together now. We had a nice time together.  Mom Taylor went back home, Taylor and Landon went there way and Bill and I went back to be with Grandpa Cook.

Bill and Landon at the baseball game

March 14th, Wednesday. Bill took Landon and Taylor to a baseball game at Hohokam park . (t hey got tickets way before it was decided that I would be going to AZ depending on Grandpa Cooks health). So I went and spent a few days with my mom.

A beautiful day at the Park

Landon and Taylor have been enjoying getting to know one another better.

Landon and Tay are like 2 peas in a pod.

This is the hospice rooster, he was pretty confident of his territory.....

The rooster continued to strut is stuff....

So Bill challenged this rooster in a "rooster dance"....

This was so funny, and the horse was watching on in the background.

Now it was getting serious.....

It was such a beautiful day visiting Grandpa at Hospice.  We were so glad to have spent some good time with him.

Landon , Taylor, Bill and I went to the backyard area where Grandpa Cook was staying.  They had chickens, rooster, and several horses.  It was a very peaceful place for Grandpa to be for his last few days before his passing.  We took advantage of the serenity and took pictures.
This is a nice shot of Landon and Taylor at the gazebo.  The lighting was not very good.

Hide-n-seek

I see you Landon

No, you can't see me!!!

After we ate at Tia Rosas we went to see Grandpa Cook in hospice. Grandpa would open his eyes every once in a while.  He had moments of rallying and then would go back to a deep sleep.  Landon and Taylor said " We love you"-to him and he answered with low audible voice "I love you too".  We all loved that.

When he was awake we would give him sips of water, he always wanted more.  We enjoyed our last few days with him. I have always remembered Dad as never saying anything unkind about anyone and asking about each member of our family if they were not around.  Later in his life he would tell me about his health problems and would ask me about it as if I had the answer for him, because I'm a nurse.  Dad Cook was a good, kind man who was always close to the spirit of our Heavenly Father.  I am glad I knew him.

Landon talking with his grandpa Cook

Grandpa did respond to Landon several times but was very weak

Landon wanted Grandpa to meet his girlfriend Taylor Palmer.  Taylor said to Grandpa it is very nice to meet you.  Grandpa had his eyes semi-open.

March 13, 2012 Tuesday.

Landon and I drove to Arizona after I got off work at 2:30p.m.  We arrived in Arizona at 3 in the morning and slept for 3 hrs, got up and ready for the day.  We met Taylor Palmer at Tia Roses for lunch.  I got my typical fish tacos and Bill had the beef burrito.
Taylor and Landon had met each other 2 yrs ago on a blind date. Recently, Taylor and Landon's have been communicating through Facebook. -Their relationship has progressed to having Skype dates in which they have Skyped each other every night for the past 2 months. Since the beginning of their first communication on Facebook they have yet to see each other in person, until today at Tia Rosa's. They were a little nervous but very excited to finally be with each other.  They have a sweet relationship and are a very cute couple.
Taylor was very sweet with Bill and I and just fits right into our family.  I have never seen Landon so HAPPY!!!!!

Landon had 2 fish tacos and Taylor got a chili relleno  which was just OK, but said her favorite relleno is at the  TOP SHELF RESTAURANT  (her grandpa owns).
