FALL IN BUENOS AIRES

This tree is in our front yard, you can see it from the computer room upstairs. I enjoy looking out the window and watching the leaves change colors, it is absolutely beautiful. Our vontage line is in the computer room, so when we talk to family we are in this room and this is our view.

I just wanted to share it with all of you.

CHIQUITA-lounging after coming home-APRIL 15,2009

YES, WE MADE IT.

We made it back to Argentina safe and sound. We left at 6:30 am monday morning. Flew to L.A airport had several hours there and had lunch. Then we flew LAN airlines to Lima, Peru and around 1:30 in the a.m left for Argentina. We landed at the ESE airport in Buenos Aires at 7:45 am. We had a remise driver (taxi) take us to Bills office where we picked up our car. Then we drove to Del Viso (where we live) another 45 minutes. We found our home in good order (no water problems this time). We went right to bed and slept 5 hours and woke up at 3 pm. We had no food so we went to JUMBO super market. Below you will see pictures of isles of their main staples here. Mayonaise, mate, olive oil and there is more. But this are just a few. So enjoy the pics. We are now in our routine again. Bill goes to the office in Buenos Aires ( 40 min drive). I stay home with Chiquita-By the way we got Chiquita back on wed afternoon. She was so excited to be home. She runs and plays and skips through the house, she can't seem to give us enough kisses. Here is a picture of Chiquita laying in one of her favorite places-my scrapebook room. She lays on the bed while I am on the computer or working on my many projects.

Lots of mayonaise-rows and rows of it. They use it on everything. Just the other day Bill and I had sushi and a few sodas. The checkout girl asked if we wanted mayonaise-we looked at each and said "what for".

They use it on everything. ha ha.

Sunday night April 12-2009 I took mom and Ashley to see the broadway musical "CATS" at the ASU Gammage building. It was the only night we could go. We had a fun time. Ashley says she keeps hearing the song in her head about -calico cats. ha ha.- We enjoyed the famous song "memories". Afterwards we had a hot piece of apple pie with icecream. They liked this birthday present from me and Bill. I just love musicals and go whenever I have the chance.

Easter sunday after church Brad and Diane stopped by on their way to her family's dinner to say Good-bye. We will see you in 8 months.

We enjoyed going

to church with mom

on sunday. Their ward

had a wonderful

program. The music

always makes you feel

so much emotion for

our Savior. I am thankful

for the atonement and

resurection of our Savior.

It was a beautiful easter

day. We were thankful

to be in Mesa to share it

with our family.

Landon spent the week with us after conference.

We all had a great time together. He will return

to Rexburg, Idaho for school.

Saturday April 11, 2009 "THE CHRISTENSEN REUNION"

The Reunion was held at Falcon field park from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. It was fun to see people we haven't seen for a long time. Everyone visited and then straight up noon (They always eat on time)there was a big spread of food-everyone brought all different kinds of food. The main course was shredded beef with barbeque sauce, scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, beans and lots of salads and desserts. It was especially cold today at the park, it rained in the morning but cleared up enough to have a successful reunion. After eating, they had a easter egg hunt for all the kids and then Gary (grandma's brother) had his drawing for all his hunting memoribilia which included: pelts from animals, guns, cleaning kits for guns, knifes and etc. Unfortunately Landon or Bill did not get their names drawn to win something. But we had a good time with all.

Brad giving mom a big KISS I know I was way to excited!!! I gave in and let mom open her birthday present early. Her birthday is April 21st, So on the friday night party (April 10th) she opened her present from Bill and I. We got her a camera so she can finally take pictures of her family and down load them onto her computer. (Mom you are going to be such a camera whiz!!!after all). Happy birthday. Oh! I just love it!

I got a new hairstyle

I was so tired of my Argentine hair style. So I needed a slight change so Susie at "Tantrums hair salon" gave me this style-Do you like it? It is so fast and easy, I just blow dry and flip up the back. Then I use a flat iron on the sides-I put a little back combing on the top and I am ready for the day.

Party at mom's (grandmas house)-friday april10th-09

Kell,Cienna and Aubrey Bill,Craig,Brad,Nola Sirrine, Diane and Grandma Brad, Craig and Diane Craig, Diane and Miranda We all got together and had a barbeque. Ashley had to work, so her and Jesse could not make it. We had hamburgers and hotdogs, it was fun. The kids-Aubrey, Cienna and Kell played soccer with some of the adults-Landon, Bill and Craig. It was alot of fun just visiting.
