ALL ARE SAFELY GATHERED IN....

MY MOM HOLDING GRANDMAS DOG (STAR), COUSIN KRISSY AND AUNT MARY ELLEN. UNCLE MARVIN, ROGER AND FRED. Today I had planned to drive to Pleasant Grove to see my Grandma. Sharon at the group home told my mom that grandma was not doing very well, so she drove from Arizona to be with her. I almost did not want to go today because I was tired and the weather was bad. I almost had me talked out of it, when I had a very strong prompting that "I HAD TO GO TODAY". I am so thankful I listened to the prompting. I got to the group home around 1200 p.m, grandma did not look good, she was in a coma. I got to spend 2 hours and 42 minutes by her side before she passed on. Me and my mom, uncles, aunt and cousin sat by her bedside, keeping her comfortable until it was over. Tears were shed, lots of reminesing went on and even some laughter thinking about the good times we have all experienced with GRANDMA over the years. She hung on and fought for awhile, her breathing became labored and then went to a stand still. There was a peaceful feeling in the room, several made a coment how she looked 10 years younger now. We were rejoicing in the fact that NOW she could be with her other loved ones: grandpa (her sweetheart), Duke, her daughter patricia and lots of brothers and sisters who have passed on over the years. I was so thankful I got to spend these last few hours with her and telling her how much she has meant to me. She knows we were there, and she knows how much we love her and will miss her. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation that will reunite us again and we will be with her in the next life. I am thankful for the atonement and resurrection that make this possible for us to live with our families again. Without this knowledge then death would be for nothing and very painful to endure. I will think of my grandma often as I live my life, I will remember the things she taught me, I am so thankful she was my grandma.

Relief Society is 169 years old. HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Sister signed up a head of time to bring a cake decorated however they wanted and we decorated each table with a different cake. Then when the speaker was done, and it was time for dessert we placed the cakes on the serving table and the sisters could get any piece of cake they wanted. It was a fun way to celebrate this birthday for Relief Society. Then we had a clean up crew at the end which really helped so we (the presidency) were not the only ones cleaning up. It went alot quicker.

We had a Costa Vida Salad Bar.

Pulled pork over flour tortillas with cheese, (my homemade salsa), sour cream, avocados, lettuce and rice. It was yummy good. While we ate then Sister Cruz spoke to us (she is a Relief Soceity President of another ward).

Relief Society celebrates its 169th birthday. (March 17, St Patricks day)

We had sisters of the ward sign up to set up and help decorate. We called 2 sisters to be over our week day meetings. They are doing such a great job. The decorations were so beautiful. It was nice to have everyones help. We had Amy Coopers mom Diane Cruz come to speak on the restoration of Relief Society and the purpose of Relief Society: To help those in need, Serve with compassion, Strengthen the home and family. It was a wonderful night.

Craig and Kim Taylors blended family-came to visit and to see Utah and it's sights.

Craig, Kell and Kim

playing with Chiquita

Chiquita love it when anyone will stop and throw her toys to her and play. She squats down and sticks her booty in the air, she is so cute when she gets frisky. She played with the kids but would not let anyone pet her.

Cailen, Ryan, Kell and Cienna

You would think these kids have grown up together all their lives. They not only act like brothers and sisters they look like each other too. While they were visiting they were found playing games together and just visiting in a room and getting along so well. They were fun to have around. Kim and Craig are so blest to have their familys blend so well together. We are thankful they are apart of our familly.

Cailen and Ryan

This is Kims kids, I enjoyed getting to know them better.

Kell and Ryan

Kell is Craigs son and Ryan is Kims son. They get along like real brothers, they are kind and polite to each other. But, they are true boys and know how to have fun.

Cienna and Kell

This my neice and nephew, they are such great kids. I loved visiting with them and learning about the things they like to do. The were well behaved and fun while visiting with us in our home.
