MY SWEET GRANDMA

I decided today I would drive to pleasant grove and see my sweet grandma at "Lakeview elderly care". It took about an hour and a half to get there from Ogden. But it was so worth it to be with her and visit for 1 and 1/2 hours. I had made apple pies from our neighbors apple trees. So, I decided I would take a pie to grandma. She had a piece while I was with her and she loved it. She said her favorite fruit is an apple (I guess it is true they say an apple a day keeps the doctor away-and she is 93 years old). So eat lots of apples so you will live a long and prosperous life like grandma Reid. Grandma lives with 8 other elderly people in a nice home which is run by a young family. Grandma looked great, and was glad to hear we moved to Ogden. She kept asking me "how long did it take you to get here?" and "where is Ila now?" "she is my daughter right". She was truly delightful and still loves to snuggle with Star. I called mom to let her talk with grandma, and grandma kept saying to her "angel I love you, now don't cry". It was sweet to see how much grandma loves mom. Grandma has a new roomate named Zola she is 96. I took her picture several times because she got mad at herself for holding her mouth open. I finally got a picture with her mouth closed. It was a fun day to be with my grandma.

ENJOYING THE NEW LAWN.

Chiquita is sprawld out on the new lawn just taking in the sights and loving the feel of new lawn. It was a beautiful day today in Utah.

ALMOST DONE.

We laid about 1ooo square feet of grass, we are almost done. We took it to the fence line and did the islands in front as well. It is not so bad when you have lots of good help. We are thankful to our neighbors for their willingness to help.

LAYING GRASS.

On October 17, 1009 (Saturday) We began the task of laying grass. It was a beautiful fall day with temperature 75 and sunny. While Bill was starting to lay the grass, our neighbors (the Chase's) came over and just started helping. We got the job done in half the time. They have 6 kids, 4 of them helped. I will never forget this kind neighborly gesture. It goes to show that there are good people in the world who believe in serving others.
