LAGOON WITH THE DAVIS FAMILY-June 14,3013

Asher and Ian in the space ship ride.

Sorry boys the ride is over

Yes, I loved it.

Waiting in line to drive the cars.
Buckle up boys.

So serious as they come in for their final stop.

Waiting in line for the airplane ride

Typical picture of Sharae and her Joe looking off to where???? we don't know???
Having fun with the kids.

Waiting for the boys to get off the ride.

They loved this ride-the idea is to pull the lever forward so the plane goes up, and then push the lever back and the plane goes down.  They both were working against each other and after the ride they were frustrated that their plane did not go up or down.  Life is a learning experience for sure.

Ian did not want to go on this ride.  So Rae, Asher, Bill and Joe went and I stayed with Ian.  Bill took this picture of Rae and Asher.
Ian understands that if he brings the bar close to him the helicopter will go down, and if he pushes the bar away it will go higher.  He did a good job and loved going high.

Wow cool stunt Bill
We love the merry go round.  Lets do it again grandma.
Grandpa took this nice picture of Asher by the big spider ride.  Asher is intrigued with spiders.

The bumper car was another different concept to get down.  Ian knew if he turned the wheel around the car would go so he drove all over and only had a few collisions.

Asher started off pretty good and the bumper car, but when he got stuck he did not turn the wheel and the car did not go, so he sat there watching everyone else and felt very frustrated.  He put his hands over his face and cried, there was not a thing we could do to help him out.

This is what her wound looks like after they took the dressing off...

The long incision is where they did the lobectomy.  So the Dr. called me at work yesterday to inform me that Chiquita does have stage 2 cancer and recommended that we meet with the oncologist.  I told the Dr. before her surgery that if it was cancer that we did not want to do chemo but just keep her comfortable.  It is so nice that she is not coughing anymore now that the mass is gone.   We will just enjoy our days with our little girl and see what happens.  We love her, she has been with us 12 years.

the smaller incisions is where the chest tube was inserted.

Of course they shaved a lot of her body, so it will take a while for her hair to grown back.  The sutures will be taken out in 10 days.  I hope she can not get to it when she starts itching from the healing process.

Today after work I took Chiquita back to where she had her surgery so they could take this dressing off and look at her wound.

This Advanced veterinary care hospital.  When we first drove up Chiquita sat in her bed and she would not come out of the car.  After gentle coaxing she finally did.  She remembered this place and started to shake.
I tried to get a picture of both of us in our gold tops.  She calmed down and just watched people and dogs come in.  Then the tech took her back to take the dressing off.

She will be so happy to get this tight netting off and her bandage.
