Saturday April 20th was our day at sea as we headed back to New Orleans.

Today we were sad because as we headed back to New Orleans at left the Caribbean ocean.  The Gulf of Mexico's water was pretty choppy again and the sun was not out for the whole day.  Bill and I slept in a bit, then went to the gym to exercise.  We had lunch with Ashley and Landon and went to dinner and the evening show which was called "Elements" it was really good.  In the morning we will be in New Orleans for 2 days.

My family Bill, Landon and Ashley

Bill and I went to meet up with our scuba diving group and Landon and Ashley took a Taxi to go and spend the day snorkeling and enjoying the beach.  The water was clear and amazing.

Ashley was glad to see a Starbucks in Cozumel.  She headed over to get her beverage for the day.

cargo ship, just thought it was interesting.

Bill and I went on a 2 tank dive with this group of divers.

This was the name of our dive and the dive master below giving us some instructions.

Thumbs up- we are ready to do our dives.  We will do 2 drift dives.

Roatan Honduras-April 18th

Here we are where Bill had come when he was serving his mission 40 years ago.  The water is crystal clear and you can see the coral reef below.  It is truly beautiful.  We are going to scuba dive with the Dolphins today-yes, this is on my bucket list of things I want to do. Ashley and Landon took a taxi to go to a nice beach to snorkel.  Bill and I had to wait for our excursion to meet at noon.

So while we were waiting Bill wanted to walk up and down the street close to the port. While we were walking a guy walked with us and chatted to us for a while and then when we tried to say good-bye he asked for a tip, like he had done something for us.  We did not have any cash on us.

Yes, everything is the same as when I served my mission and came to Roatan.  We asked the people on the street if there was an LDS church here, they did not know!!!not a good thing.

We met up with our excursion group and took a shuttle to Anthony s  key to do our dive and meet the Dolphins.

This area of the Island was beautiful, across the way they have small bungalows to stay in while you stay at this resort and you can visit the Dolphin's.

This is the boat called "Andrea" which took us out to our dive site.

part of the resort.

We gathered our equipment-our diving tanks and BC D's (vest with our breathing regulators).  Bill and I took our own masks and fins.

Bill walking to boat with his gear.  The water temp 84 degrees, beautiful and calm.
Before our dive it was time to meet some Dolphins at the resort.

look how clear the water is
Meet Ronnie he is an older dolphin and we got to interact with him a lot before our dive.

He showed us his teeth and let us touch inside his mouth.

He flapped his flippers to say Hi to us.
He did a lot of tricks in the water.
He is really showing off now.....
He made 2 sounds with his blow hole.

We got to pet him, he was very soft and not slimy like I thought.

I am sitting the nearest in the picture.
Bill thought this was pretty amazing too.
Well, here is Ronnie doing his last favorite trick before we go.

I am ready to dive

Me too, can not wait to dive with Dolphins.
