No, I was not attached by a wild animal, even though it looks like it. My biopsy's came back postitive for basil and squamous cell carcinoma-Yuck!!! I hate the C word.

I had a small red bump on the upper part of my nose for about 3 months,  it was red and was getting bigger.  I went and saw Dr. Jelaco on May 23rd (The same dermatologist that removed some skin CA from Bill) He froze several spots on my face and took a biopsy of the spot on my nose, arm and back.  Well, they came back positive.  So my next visit was to Dr. Tingy (in the same office) who did a MOHS procedure-were they remove pieces of CA and put it under a microscope to see where the roots are and how deep he should go.  So you wait for a while for him to check and then he removes more till all the CA is gone.  I had 5 times before I was clear.  They he put dissolvable stitches in and some on top of the skin..  My surgery was on Monday June 25, at 8:30 am and I left the office at 1:15 pm.  I just took the bandage off today June 27th and this is what it looks like.  My bandage was crooked, so I thought maybe my nose was crooked also.  My manager was great and got my tues and wed shifts covered so I could heal a bit.  I work thur and fri this week.  I will just have to be really creative with my make-up when I go to work tomorrow.  I go back on friday after work to get some more CA removed from my left arm and a small area on my back. Monday at 9:30 am he will remove my stitches and then I go to work at 11:00 that same day.  My nose has felt like someone took an ice pick to it, you don't realize how many nerves you have in just your nose.  At least I plan on being more careful when I am in the sun.  They recommended a sunscreen called "Solar defense" to use all the time.  You can buy it online or at the Ogden Clinic.  It does not have the greasy feel to it and it does not burn your eyes.  So it is my new friend.  So no more laying out or tanning beds for me.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO YOU....

On Friday June 15th Bill received a package from Landon-(who is in Amman Jordan doing his internship for his Bachelors degree in Social Work) for Fathers day.  Bill was so excited that 1)Landon is so far away and sent something to him and 2)Landon thought of his dad.  He sent Bill some special cookies from "Mrs Fields".  Bill said they were delicious.  Thanks Landon I love and miss you.

these cookies are yummy!!!!

The father day treat came in such a pretty package and the gourmet cookies were enjoyed throughout the week-end by dad.

This is Bill on Fathers day in our den just before going to church.

For his special Fathers dinner we had Rib-eye steak, potatoes and salad.  It was yummy! For desert we had Razzelberry pie and ice cream.

Happy Fathers Day -Bill I Love You.

Mom came to visit.

We took these pictures on Fathers day June 17,2012
Mom came to Utah for her 60th High School reunion which was in Springville.   Then she drove to Ogden at got here Friday night June 15th around 11p.m.  She spent Saturday and Sunday (fathers day) with us and left Monday morning to head back to Arizona.

We had such a nice time together.  On Saturday morning we had a light breakfast of yogurt with different berries and five fiber toast.  Then we got ready for the day and took our time.  I took her to the hospital I work at McKay-Dee and I showed her the same day surgery and recovery areas I work.  She met a few of the ladies I work with in recovery.  Mom said she was so glad to go and see the hospital.  Then we went to Dillard's to get her some lipstick and then we went to "The Greenery" up towards Ogden canyon.  We split a salad and got their famous Mormon muffins-they are fabulous.  They had little boutique shops around the restaurant so we browsed for a bit then came back home and picked Bill up and went to Station Park and saw the movie "Rock of Ages".  It was a little to risque for mom. Then we stopped at Garcia's and got a light dinner and then came back to the house.
I love my mom and it was a treat to have here for a few days.

This is a typical Sunday afternoon. After we have gone to church at 11 am we come home and have dinner. Bill sits down with Chiquita right where she is and they both fall asleep. (When I was taking the shot Chiquita opened her eyes).

Our home has a Tuscan-Italian feel too it with the rod iron in the house. I saw this nice wall piece at Hobby Lobby and had to get it for Landons Bathroom. Sometimes these are better than pictures.

While landon has been in Ammon, Jordan since May 30, 2012. I have been doing some more decorating and started with his room. It is so nice to see such a clean room as I pass by his room. (We really do miss you Landon, it is just the room is so clean).
