Sharae and Joe's cute little family-Ian 4 1/2 yrs old, Asher 2 1/2 years old

We were so Happy Sharae and Joe came for Thanksgiving. It was a long 16 hour drive with snow and rain in their way, they made it here and back safe and sound. The main reason they came to Idaho was to look for a mobile home to put on some property they purchased a few months back. While they live on the property they want to build a home and be free of Banks and be as independent as possible by having their own animals and growing their own food. Sharae is getting more ok about this adventure, but the idea came from Joe. I am happy that They will be closer to us, I can be close to the grand kids.

JUST BEING TOGETHER IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT....

This picture was taken just before Bill Thanksgiving shower.... At least he got one!! Bill and I woke up on Thanksgiving morning to find out WE HAD NO WATER. I am thankful I had most of the dinner done. Just needed water to shower and cook potatoes and vegtables. The city had a line break down by our neighborhood park. It was not on until noon on Thanksgiving. So, I did not get to shower. Bill showered later. I was so thankful that day when our water came back on. We were without for 4-5 hours and I did not like it, not one little bit. It helped me to reflect on the things we take for GRANITE. Also, Sharae's family were suppose to come to Utah the wednesday before Thanksgiving but because we had a lot of snow some of the roads were closed from Idaho to Utah. They left Thursday morning to arrive at our home by noon just in time to sit down for Thanksgiving. At noon Sharae called and said they were still in Idaho and would not be here for at least 2 more hours. I tried to stay calm by saying "Don't rush, be careful we will eat when you get here, it is alright" In my mind I am thinking OH know! first the water and now this, all the food will be cold. Just then while I am still on the phone, I am saying Hello several times when the call dropped. Then the doorbell rang and Sharae, Joe, Ian and Asher came in and surprised us. We laughed and hugged, The joke was definetly on me. (I am glad I did not get mad when Sharae said they would be late). She says it was Joe's idea to tease me. THAT JOE!!!!! We were so excited to have mom and Russ spend Thanksgiving with us too this year, they were so hoping to bring Grandma Reid with them. But she was not able to come because she was getting over the flu. We had a wonderful time that day eating great food, desserts and playing games-Apples to Apples and Donkey kong. The day went way too fast. Here are pictures spent during our Thanksgiving day together. We missed having Ashley and Devin. Landon worked until 4 p.m that day then came home and had some food and played games and visited with everyone.

THANKSGIVNG POINTE

On Friday Nov, 26 we took Sharae's family to the Dinosaur museum. We promised Ian the next time he came to visit Mamo and Papo that we would go see the Dinosaurs. We had alot of fun looking at all kinds of dinosaurs, building a water dam (hands on for kids) and watching a 3-D movie about T-Rex. We also got to create our own dinosaur. It was a fun time with the grand kids. We came back home and had homemade turkey noodle soup and rolls. The kids were tired so after dinner we put them to bed.
