Great-Grandma Taylor meeting her great grandson for the first time.

Day 4 (Thursday) Today Devin took Aubrey to school and I stayed home with Diego and took him for walks and played. Grandma Taylor came over and the first time she saw Diego he was waking up from his nap. Grandma could not believe the resemblances of Diego and Daityn. She got to enjoy him with me. This morning I put in a pork roast in the crock pot to make "Pulled Pork" for Devin’s dinner. When everyone got home we decided to take the kids for a swim. Aubrey showed me how Devin taught her to dive. I got in the heated pool with Diego and Devin, Miranda and Grandma Taylor were watching how Diego was loving the water. Miranda gave me the Ok to dunk him under the water. On the count of 3 he went under, it scared him and he cried but he held his breath. So I was the first to swim with Diego, so we made memories that day. It was fun, the water and weather was beautiful. Grandma and I left around 6:30 p.m to go meet up with Ashley and Jesse; I would spend the next few days with them before flying back to Utah Saturday night. It was hard to leave Devin's family-they are sweet and happy. It was a wonderful blessing for me to spend time with my new grand baby and bond with him.
Day 3 (Wednesday) my week is going too fast already!!!! Took Aubrey to school and picked her up at noon. I gave Diego a bath in his tub and he loved kicking his legs and playing. The plans for today were to take the kids to the zoo. But Devin called and had tickets to the baseball spring training so we went to that. When I asked Aubrey what she wanted to do. She said "It's ok we can do that instead". Pretty sweet for an 11 year old. (I know she would have rather gone to the zoo). We watched the white sox and diamond backs; they hit a home run just as we were leaving. It was fun, the weather was perfect not to hot. That night I taught Aubrey how to make pork chops and mashed potatoes and gravy (Devin's request from his childhood days). She loved cooking and when we sat down to eat she said "Isn't it nice to have a home cooked meal together". I thought that was cute!
Day 2 (Tuesday)-Miranda left me her new Honda accord to drive while I was staying with them. I took Aubrey to school in the morning and picked her up at 2:30p.m. While she was in school I played with Diego and put him down for a few naps. Devin would pop in and out of work to visit with me. After school Aubrey and I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (she wanted me to teach her). It was Devin and Miranda's 2 year anniversary and they told me they had gotten married, that was great news. I told them to go out and celebrate. Me and Aubrey got "In and Out" and watched "New Moon" after we got Diego to bed. Devin and Miranda went out for sushi but they both were too tired to go to the movies. They spend their nights as a family and do things with the kids.

Arizona trip March 22nd-27th, 2010

I decided it was about time I went to Arizona to see my new grand baby Diego who is now 4 months old-and growing! Devin, Miranda, Aubrey and Diego picked me up at the airport at 5:15 p.m. When I saw Diego I about melted, what a beautiful baby and he resembles our Daityn to a tee. They look like brother and sister for sure. Aubrey has grown up so much she is beautiful, tall and slender (watch out boys!). Here is a list of things we did while I stayed in Arizona. Day 1 (monday night)- stopped at store and Devin and Miranda wanted me to pick out stuff I wanted to eat, I said basically whatever you guys have-I am good. They were so thoughtful to my needs. We got back to their condo and they ordered "Papa Johns" Pizza-(My fav. We just stayed up late talking and getting caught up on things.
