Bridgetown, Barbados

Bill and I have been talking about upgrading my wedding ring.  So we did it in Barbados.  We got a pretty good deal on a 1 carat diamond that they set on my wedding band.  I had International diamonds set my original diamond in a necklace.  I love them both.

Barbados is known for its oldest rum, we bought some for cooking.

Waiting for our ride to take us to our boat and go out to snorkel. We met a lady on the ship who lives in Barbados-she set us up with a family member to take us out to snorkel.

Nadine from the ship set us up with G, who showed us a good time, he first picked us up and had to get his gear so he could snorkel with us.

The water was the best I have seen so far, crystal clear turquoise.  The reason it is so blue is because of the white sand under the water.  The darker parts are where their is coral reefs.

Because G was such a flirt, Bill and I had some fun with him.  So I am paying him for "Our good time".

driving to our many destinations.

we snorkeled in this spot with a lot of Turtles and fish.  There were also ship wrecks below to explore.  My favorite was feeding the turtles underwater, they came close to your face, I got to touch them.  It was amazing.  I wished we had a water camera.

G is a scuba diving instructor.  So when we were in the water he taught me how to swim down into the water with my snorkel gear on.  I had a hard time depressurizing my ears, my right ear was clogged for 3 days after this adventure.  You are suppose to swim down and then hold your nose and blow out to pop your ears as you swim deeper into the water.  It is harder then I thought.  Bill can do this well, but I was nervous about it.

We spent a few hours with G snorkeling and feeding swarms of beautifully colored fish. Then G dropped us off and had to go teach a scuba class.  He invited us to come.  We decided we better do others things...  Ever since Bill and I have been contemplating to learn how to scuba... maybe we will in the near future.

We found a nice beach and shared a flying fish sandwich-it was awesome.

We swam in this area, the sand was as fine as I have ever seen and super white.  We swam out to the trampoline and tried to jump on it, it was very hard to even stand up.  Then we jumped off and dived off the pier.

Enjoying this fabulous water, so warm and clear.

Bill kept trying to take a picture of me by the pier, but the waves were moving me around, it was hard to keep my balance.

We enjoyed walkiing up the beach and feeling the fine sand on our feet.  I do really love the beach.  This was so much nicer than going to California where there is a lot of seaweed and the water is cold and it is usually cold and windy.

Here you can see how turquoise the water is.  Pictures really do not do the actual place justice.  It was so much prettier than the picture shows.
