ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY!!!

I KNOW EVERYONE HAS HEARD THE PHRASE "ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY" WELL IT IS HARD TO SEE ALL OF ROME IN ONE DAY, AND THATS ALL WE HAD. SO MUCH HISTORY, WE STARTED OUR EXCURSION BY BUS AND DROVE BY ALOT OF FAMOUS SITES AND DID OUR BEST TO TAKE PICTURES THROUGH THE WINDOW. A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE "ROMAN FORUM" IT IS A VERY LARGE AREA THAT OCCUPIES ROME. IT INCLUDED SHOPS, TEMPLES (TEMPLE OF SATURN, TEMPLE OF VESPASIAN, TEMPLE OF CONCORDIA COLLISUM, SEVERAL FAMOUS ARCHES (ARCH OF SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, ARCH OF CONSTANTINE. ALSO, INCLUDED IN THE FORUM WA THE TABULARIUM WHICH IS THE STATE ARCHIVE OF ROME, STANDS CLOSE TO CAPTITOL HILL AND FORMS A BACKGROUND FOR THE VALLEY. LATER IS WAS USED AS A STORE FOR SALT AND AS A PRISON (ODD COMBINATION) TODAY IT IS CITY HALL THE UPPER PART HAS 16TH CENTURY RECONSTRUCTION. IN THE FOLLOWING PICTURES YOU WILL SEE THE CAPTITOL IN WHICH THE ITALIANOS CALL IT THE "WEDDING CAKE" BECAUSE IT IS STACKED LIKE A CAKE. YOU WILL SEE DIFFERENT CHURCH BUILDINGS BUT MOSTLY THE APPRECIATION OF THE ROMAN ARCHITECTURE THAT HAS BEEN PRESERVED.
Thursday, Nov 3, 2011-Day 9

Today we had our day at sea after being in Egypt for several days. It is nice to relax today. Slept in, up to the gym for a work out. It is always fun to use the equipment and look out to the Mediterranean ocean, we have had very calm seas, no nausea at all for the 10 days on the ocean. Layed out by the pool, had lunch and used the jacuzzi. Today I emailed Landon and everything is good at home. We enjoyed another dinner and show tonight and then to bed.
