They have beautiful homes on the Island of St. Thomas

I want to live in this house over looking the ocean.

Apartments overlooking the ocean.

This is a real pirate ship

Another mansion.

Leaving St. Thomas

ST. JOHN

We took the ferry across the bay about a mile to get to St. Johns.  We were told it had some nice snorkeling places.

This was our first place to get to snorkel, we were excited.

When we were done snorkeling, I went to get dressed and noticed by small zip lock baggie that had my drivers license, American express card, ship card and 30.00 was gone.  I then went on the search for it while Bill went through our gear more than once.  I backed tracked my steps and looked on the ground everywhere with no luck.  I went to a rangers desk and made a call to Am. express to cancel my card.  I was on hold for several minutes when Bill returned to me and said one of the people on the taxi saw the taxi driver pick up my bag and asked the other passengers if they had seen me.  He apparently went looking for me down the beach.  We were told that the Taxi driver gave it to a tour guide on the ship (well there were several ships docked at St Thomas that day.  So we headed back hoping to get lucky and retrieve my lost cards.  We got back to the taxi station and several taxi drivers made calls for us to the driver after we had given a description of the taxi van we were in.  Apparently this taxi driver sent it with a tour guide from another ship who placed it in that ships security.  In the meantime, Bill and I went to the security station by the ship after we had gotten back to St. Thomas.  They said that it had been turned into the wrong ship but that someone sent it over to our ships security.  By now Bill and I were feeling like this was a goose chase.  We had our doubts of every getting them back and felt a little like no one really knew what was going on.  (By a big fat chance and a semi-honest taxi driver) We got back to our ship and was boarding, we told one of the security officers on our ship what had happened and he reached over and asked me to identify my self and asked me what I was missing, then he handed me the small baggie with my cards in them except the 30.00 that was gone.  I felt very thankful and knew my prayer in finding my cards had been answered. We did not mind that the small amt of money was gone.  We were amazed at the miracle that several people were honest in returning them to the right ship.-WHAT A DAY!!!!

While we were talking to the taxi drivers about my lost cards, I took this picture of the pelican sitting on the edge of a boat near by.

We swam in this water while we were waiting for the ferry to take us from St. johns back to St. Thomas.

The ride back to St Thomas and keeping my fingers crossed and with lots of prayers to find my cards and money.

This is a yacht we were docked by.  We were told this guy owns some software company.-but I can not remember the details.

Leaving St. Thomas.

We did not do any snorkeling on St. thomas.

A little romance at the end of the day.  Plus were happy that we did not have to cancel out my American Express card and get a new Utah drivers license.  Bill said without my ship card, he would have found a way to get me back on the ship, and if he didn't then he would have missed THIS KISS.

Last set of pictures as we sail away from St. Thomas.  We then went and showered and got ready for a fun night of dinning and show watching.

We loved excercising when we were at sea.

after 30 min of cardio I would work some machines and free weights and ended with a stretch.

We flew to Miami, Florida on a 1 am flight. It took 6 hours including all the time changes. We just slept ok on the flight. We then called our shuttle to pick us up (we arrived 1 hr early and waited 2 hrs for our ride to the ship). We then on the ship around noon and it set sail at 5 p.m sunday night.

Here we are waiting to be picked up at the airport.  Bill looks so down before the trip.  We decided to get spray tanned so we would not burn in the Caribbean sun.  Bill was pretty dark.

We took this picture from our ship around noon.

After we checked in and had a light lunch on the deck of the ship, we had to wait for our luggage to arrive to our room.  We just enjoyed the beautiful Florida weather.

View of Miami

Our first picture together on the ship after lunch.

So SAD, mom is going home-back to Arizona. Boo, Hoo.

Mom was nervous for her flight home, so she got up extra early.  I told her I had my alarm set to wake her up.  But she was up and ready to go.

We drove her to the Ogden Airport to fly out.

I have enjoyed having her around.  She is so helpful and easy going about everything.  She was super supportive to Ashley.

I love my mom

It is hard to let you go, but I think she was getting home sick for Arizona.  This was the longest she has ever stayed with me since I have been married.

Saying good-bye to Bill.  He loves having mom come to stay too.

This is the Allegiant airlines that fly's into the airport in Mesa.  It just started doing this at the end of September 2012.

Bye mom, you are so cute and fun to have around.

Checking in.  Little did we know.  Moms flight had an hour lay over so she got home much later than we thought.  I sent her a text  thinking she was already home.  She sent me a text  back and said " I am still at the Ogden airport".  I was so surprised.  You never know what will happen when you fly.  Your time is not your own.

THIS WAS MOMS BUSY SCHEDULE WHILE SHE STAYED WITH US FOR 2 WEEKS.

1. Attended October General Conference with Bill. (Russ went home early, and I had a cold.  So my sweet husband offered to escort her.  Mom has never attended general conference before).

2. She got to go and visit Danielle's family and even baby sat on a week-end night for them.

3.  Spent time visiting with Landon. (when he wasn't working his night shifts and going to school).

4. Went shopping with Cindy and Ashley at the new Salt lake City,  "City Creek Mall".  Then afterwards we went to eat at the Cheese cake factory.  We were so full, we brought our cheese cake home.  Mom got her favorite coconut cheese cake, Ashley got cookie dough, I got the pecan praline to split with Bill and we got Landon a peanut butter and choclate cheese cake. It was a really fun day.

5.  Went to Sharaes  new baby Charlotte Rae's blessing on Oct 14, 2012. Bill, Ashley, mom and I left Saturday Oct 13, saw their homestead.  Spent the night at a hotel in McKay, and attended the blessing and had a nice luncheon at Rae's afterward and then drove home.

6.  Mom spent some time with her brother's Fred and Marv and their wives.  Then they all took mom to dinner at Cafe Rio in Ogden.

7.  Attended a temple session at the new Brigham City Temple with me.  We had a nice dinner at "Maddox restaurant" and took a coconut cream pie home to enjoy later.

8. Mom got to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and watch the leaves change color.

9.  Relaxed when I went to work.  Enjoyed reading the genealogy book of "the Royal family" about the Taylor's and work on her life history.

11. Took Chiquita for walks.

12. Mom got to enjoy home grown tomatoes and Zucchinis from our Garden.
